JOB COACH – MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY

Definition:

Under the direction of the Program Manager will supervise client workers and provide case management counseling and training to such clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid California Driver License with acceptable driving record
  • Proof of Vehicle insurance coverage
  • Current T.B. clearance
  • CPR-First Aid certification is desirable
  • Background check for Criminal Identification is required through the Department of Justice
  • Ability to relate to developmentally disabled adults, preferably demonstrated through previous work or volunteer experience is desirable

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing case management services to an assigned group of clients per agency procedures.
  • Must be able to read and write simple case notes in English.
  • Consistently sort through recyclable materials while guiding individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to also sort through recycable materials.
  • Responsible for completing all required documentation and reports per agency procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Must be available to work any shift assigned.
  • Must be able to adapt to other positions in the Recycling Department.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day and occasionally work in the sun.
  • Other duties as assigned

NIGHT JANITOR AT LEBEC REST STOPS

 

Under the direction of the Program Manager will work nights at Lebec Rest Stops maintaining the bathrooms and trash at the North and South sides of the Freeway.  BARC will provide the transportation to and from the work site.

To Qualify:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver License with acceptable DMV record and proof of liability insurance
  • Background check for Criminal Identification is required through the Department of Justice
  • Current T.B. Clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must maintain supplies and cleanliness of bathrooms on both rest stops in Lebec.
  • Must keep all trash recepticles emptied and new liners inserted
  • Keep trash picked up in the immediate area around the bathrooms and parking areas
  • Keep gutters clear of trash
  • Be friendly to travelers who frequent the rest stops
  • Attend all required meetings and services
