Facilitate the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the recreation, volunteer, educational and employment sites of the Client’s choosing.  Assure that services will enhance independence and participation in community life.  Develops creative activities and coordinates sites within community for Clients consistent with Client needs, desires and valued outcomes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 year’s experience working with Developmentally Disabled Adults
  • BA in Social Services
  • Current T.B. clearance.
  • Background check for Criminal Identification required through the Department of Justice.
  • Clean DMV Record

JOB COACH – MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY

Definition:

Under the direction of the Program Manager will supervise client workers and provide case management counseling and training to such clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid California Driver License with acceptable driving record
  • Proof of Vehicle insurance coverage
  • Current T.B. clearance
  • CPR-First Aid certification is desirable
  • Background check for Criminal Identification is required through the Department of Justice
  • Ability to relate to developmentally disabled adults, preferably demonstrated through previous work or volunteer experience is desirable

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing case management services to an assigned group of clients per agency procedures.
  • Must be able to read and write simple case notes in English.
  • Consistently sort through recyclable materials while guiding individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to also sort through recycable materials.
  • Responsible for completing all required documentation and reports per agency procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Must be available to work any shift assigned.
  • Must be able to adapt to other positions in the Recycling Department.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day and occasionally work in the sun.
  • Other duties as assigned

FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Under the direction of the Program Manager will perform a number of utility tasks, and daily use of a fork lift which will assist the overall operations of the Recycling Department.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CA driver license with good record and proof of insurance
  • Background check through Department of Justice and Homeland Security
  • Curent TB clearance
  • Current Forklift Certification

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become knowledgeable of various types and grades of material/commodities.
  • Keep all areas of yard clean.
  • Load and unload materials to and from trucks.
  • Lift 25 to 50 pounds on regular basis.
  • Able to work on your own and anticipate what needs to be done to assist overall production

Under the direction of the Supported Employment Program Manager, will supervise client workers and provide case management, counseling and supported employment services to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a valid California Driver License and an acceptable D.M.V. record with proof of liability insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check through the Department of Justice.
  • Current T.B. clearance.
  • Ability to relate to developmentally disabled adults preferably demonstrated through previous work or volunteer experience desirable.
  • Be able to write case notes and incident reports and maintain confidentiality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide case management services to an assigned group of clients
  • Encourage clients to develoop appropriate socialization and work ethics
  • Encourage appropriate dress and personal hygiene, including attendance and punctuality
  • Complete required documentation and reports wehile maintaining confidentiality
  • Responsible for working with clients to clean restrooms at rest stop
  • Responsible for working with clients to pick up trash and empty trash containers at rest stop
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPPORTED LIVING TRAINER

Under the direction of the SLS Program Manager will be responsible for the clients assigned to the Program. You will assess, evaluate and develop a program plan for individuals with developmental disabilities who live independently in the community and will provide training and assistance as needed in the areas of independent living.

To Qualify:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver License with acceptable DMV record and proof of liability insurance
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to assignments and transport clients to appointments
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Current T.B. Clearance
  • CPR-First Aid certification is desirable
  • Ability to relate to developmentally disabled adults preferably demonstrated through previous work or volunteer experience desirable
  • Be able to write case notes and incident reports and maintain confidentiality

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete a needs assessment on each client
  • Develop a program plan for each client and record/maintain required documentation
  • Provide instruction/training to clients in the areas of need based assessment. Provide assistance to clients
  • Develop appropriate community networking to facilitate client training in the community
  • Will provide and/or secure counseling as needed for clients
  • Attend all required client, staff and other meetings and trainings as deemed necessary
